The kitchens design of simplicity (tranquil), minimalism (social) and soft colour palette (elegance), ultimately emphasis and influences social interactions, within the kitchen’s interior as well as its exterior through the use of rituals, spatial affects, symbolism and architectural language. The kitchen’s soft colour palette and simplicity define a softer elegance and tranquil essence, through the use of multiple gestalt and formal aesthetic theories, colour theory, spatial affects and symbolism lens’. Overall the kitchen is a soft dominant and pleasurable space within the North Perth House, highlighting that kitchens are the ‘heart of the home’.
